Applicants must attend the full conference and present their research findings via an oral, rapid fire, poster or tabletop presentation, and not be receiving other funding to attend the conference. Applications close on 2 September 2023.

AAG 500 blog: Climate and health

In this month's AAG 500 blog, AAG's Research and Policy Officer Dr Cecilia Gomez-Inclan discusses the National Health and Climate Strategy (NHCS). Read about AAG's response to the NHCS and our role in advocating for the needs and concerns of the older population in the context of climate change.

We invite members to contribute to the AAG 500 blog. Contact us if you'd like to suggest a topic or write a piece.

DIBA symposium

AAG is proud to join Dementia Inclusive Ballina Alliance Inc (DIBA), Northern NSW Local Health District and Southern Cross University at the 2023 DIBA symposium.

With the theme of 'Future fit our dementia community: Lessons learned from recent events', the event promises an engaging platform for deepening participants' understanding of dementia care, resilience, and disaster management. Renowned experts will share their insights and experiences, as they consider how to better prepare the local dementia community to face the challenges posed by a myriad of recent disasters and challenges.

The two-day symposium will take place in Ballina on 22 and 23 September 2023. AAG's President, Dr Claudia Meyer, will present on the second day of the event.
